Beomaster 1400 was the FM-only variant of the Beomaster 1500. It was introduced to Bang & Olufsen’s model range as replacement to the Beomaster 1100. It was striking by its front-painted fascia. Against a rosewood-veneered body the receiver looked very striking indeed.

Delivering 2 x 25 W into 4-ohm speakers, the receiver was fitted with connections for a record deck, tape cassette recorder and a pair of headphones.

However, because of competition between this models and others that were produced at that time, not many Beomaster 1400 models were manufactured so they are pretty rare items to find nowadays. Consequently they have become collectors’ items.
