Beolit 707 received transmissions on the FM, LW and MW bands and offered a full 1W of undistorted sound. Its wide frequency range meant that the set sounded really good for all types of transmissions. The radio was provided with AFC on the FM band to allow for clean, sharp reception. It had a good-sized, high quality speaker together with a retractable telescopic aerial and  six programme indicators (which slid across the top tuning scale) for ease of tuning in to one’s favourite radio stations. Operation was simple and hassle-free. A connection for a tape recorder was also included.

It was provided with its own built-in mains transformer together with detachable lead.

The outside (replaceable) covers were of a special material - Nextel - which meant that the radio was both easy to clean and to care for and would not easily show up dirty marks.
