The CD Terminal (Type 5005) was a specially-designed remote control handset for the Beogram CD50 which could be used as part of the Beosystem 5000 stacking system.
Avaialable as an optional extra, an IR receiver also had to be installed within the Beogram CD50 in order for it to function.
With the terminal, source selection could be made as well as putting the player into stand-by.
