Based style-wise upon earlier V2000-format video recorders - and looking remarkably like a VCR60 - the monophonic Beocord VHS62 was built around the Philips VR6560 model. It kept its Philips appearance other than a few minor tweaks and had its software updated to accept use of Bang & Olufsen’s Video Terminal remote control.

Loading the VHS video cassette from the top, the VCR would ‘take hold’ of the cassette and ease it into position from where it could be used.  Safety mechanisms made certain that it was being inserted correctly else it would reject the cassette and ease it upwards once more.

Not a strong seller, as with VHS technology moving on at a pace, the Beocord VHS62 was subsequently replaced by the Beocord VHS 63.
