One could argue that ALL products from Bang & Olufsen are desirable, even if one didn’t have the actual cash for which to buy them.
However, some Bang & Olufsen products are more desirable than others. Desirability is a fluctuating intangible that is really hard to nail down and of course depends on one’s subjectivity.
However, it’s safe to say that over the years the marque has gained a reputation of one that is both stylish and one that is manufactured well. It also stands the test of time, too, in that what you bought three decades ago may often still be as stylish today as it was when it was new.
The ‘desirabililty factor’ - ranging from 1 to 5 - which has been added to product pages aims to give the reader an idea as to just what others think about the items listed and whether an item that you might see in a second-hand shop or on the Internet is worth buying (or not, as the case might be). It also gives the BeoPhile pages a fun element. Some ratings you will agree with; others you will not. But in giving a desirability factor we have tried to show just how the products listed fare in comparison to each other.
