The Master Panel AV9000 was a unit similar in looks to that of the Beocenter 2500 and comprised an FM Stereo and AM radio, a cassette deck fitted with Dolby B NR and a CD player. It was designed for use as music system with the Beovision AV9000 when it was connected by MasterLink. It would not function as such unless it was connected to the rest of the AV9000 System.
It also provided a stereo output which could be further decoded in Beosystem AV9000’s Control Center situated beneath the television monitor giving Dolby Surround Sound from suitably-encoded recordings.
Although in looks it represented a strong similarity to Beocenter 2500, in practice one was unable to control the volume (other by way of the Beolink 1000 remote control terminal) as there was no volume or tone control circuitry included.
At the time that the BeoSound Ouverture was introduced the Master Panel AV9000 was discontinued, together with the Beocenter 2500.
