Replacing the MMC 20EN combined cartridge/stylus, the MMC3 was sold along with mid-range record decks such as the Beogram 6002.
It comprised a nude elliptical diamond mounted on a tapered aluminium cantilever. Its tracking force was 1,2 grams.
In use, the customer could choose to replace the stylus at any time with any of the others from the MMC range as they just slipped off the end of the pickup arm.
