Go to the movies right in your own home
Get the family together and go to the movies…in your pyjamas. Why wait in line for the ultimate cinematic experience when you can enjoy it in your own living room?
In BeoVision 4, Bang & Olufsen’s advanced picture engines are combined with the best Full HD plasma screens in 50 or 65 inches, and Full HD 3D plasma screens in 85 or 103 inches, to achieve a phenomenal viewing experience. The external BeoSystem 3 module provides the intelligent technology behind the perfect picture and integrates all your high definition entertainment sources with complete digital surround sound and total BeoLink compatibility.
Anti-wrinkle cream for your TV
When it comes to televisions that offer a truly cinematic experience, nothing beats a big plasma screen. And no ordinary plasma screen beats BeoVision 4 in terms of long term picture quality. All plasmas degrade with time, but BeoVision 4 has the remedy – in the form of Automatic Colour Management, a unique system that compensates for the effects of aging. A tiny built-in camera serves as your in-house technician, checking your screen after every 100 hours of use and adjusting the colour balance accordingly.
A fine frame for a beautiful picture
Appropriately, the attention to detail in the electronics of BeoVision 4 is matched by its physical frame. The smooth finish of the brushed aluminium and the uncannily precise, diamond-cut joints speak volumes about a lasting quality product. The slender profile is accentuated by the triangular BeoLab 10 centre speaker, designed to hang below the screen and form a visual whole. The daring, yet elegant, Bang & Olufsen lines are instantly recognisable from any angle.
Adapting to any environment
All of the VisionClear picture quality technologies are designed to make sure you have the highest quality picture possible. For example, the Automatic Picture Control sensor continuously measures the ambient light in the room and adjusts the light output from the screen accordingly, which ensures you get the best viewing experience whether day or night, or whether your walls are white or wallpapered.
Adjusting to any source
BeoVision 4’s plasma panel qualifies as ‘full HD’, which means you see sharp details, rich, lifelike colours, and smooth movement of objects on the screen. And, it can handle a wide variety of present and future High Definition sources: cable, satellite, and terrestrial TV, DVD, content streamed over broadband, game consoles, computer files, home video recorders, digital cameras. So why compromise, when BeoVision 4 can handle any challenge you could possibly throw at it?
Bang & Olufsen Press Release - 19.04.2011
A 3D experience like no other by Dinna Chan Vasquez (11.10.2011)
“Bang & Olufsen’s new BeoVision 4 isn’t just another run-of-the-mill 3D TV for the unwashed masses,” reads an online review for the Danish company’s first venture into the realm of 3D.
“It’s no surprise that Bang & Olufsen’s first 3D TV also happens to be one of the most expensive sets ever produced,” says another review. “More likely to be found on a yacht or luxury custom installation than the average living room, the BeoVision 4-85 boasts an 85-inch plasma screen, a host of features and a price that would make Croesus himself blush.”
This is a TV set that anyone, perfumed or unwashed, would love. It does not take money or class to appreciate a good TV but one needs cash, lots of it in fact, to have the means to purchase this. The price, as is the case for really expensive items, is “available upon request.” Let’s put it this way, the price can buy you a small condominium unit in Makati City with some change to spare for a Japanese made car. That doesn’t even include the speakers (the price for each one reaches seven figures) and the installation (six figures).
Think of it as value for money. The BeoVision 4 is said to deliver what some claim to be the best picture experience of any plasma screen on the market
All these aside, what do you get? First of all, you get a design that’s not only stunning but unique. The brushed aluminum and diamond-cut joints go beautifully with the triangular BeoLab 10 speaker. At the touch of the Beo6 Remote Control, a unique motorized floor stand elevates the screen for the best viewing position, tilting it according to the viewer’s preference. The BeoLab 10 loudspeaker, which disperses sound at a 180-degree angle with the patented Bang & Olufsen Acoustic Lens Technology, is conveniently placed front and center for optimal sound. When on standby, the same stand conceals all of the BeoVision 4’s integrated applications as it the 85- or 103-inch (yes, this 3D wonder comes in an even bigger size) marvel sits inches above the floor, reducing its prominence in a room. If you don’t want the motrized stand, you may opt for the screen-only wall-mounted solution.
You may even have your BeoVision 4 customized in terms of color (black, silver, red, blue, golden or gunmetal). The unit we viewed was in silver.
The brand’s first foray into the 3D market is nothing short of impressive. There are is depth in this model’s 3D pictures that cannot be found in similar television sets from other brands. It delivers the sharpest details, the brightest colors and the smoothest movements onscreen. The television manages to deliver a 3D film in full high definition. All it takes is the special active shutter glasses synchronized with the B & O TV via infrared. A behemoth at 85 or 103 inches, the BeoVision 4’s plasma panel only dispenses pictures in full HD whether connected by cable or satellite, video recorders or digital cameras. With VisionClear technology, this television adjusts to any source and never fails to deliver the sharpest details, the brightest colors and the smoothest movements onscreen. It is also equipped with an Automatic Picture Control Sensor that helps it adapt to any environment that guarantees the best viewing experience, no matter the amount of ambient light in the room. The best thing about the BeoVision 4, however, is its Automatic Color Management system, B & O’s remedy to plasma television ‘aging.’ After every 100 hours of use, a robotic built-in camera checks the screen and adjusts the television’s color balance accordingly. With this, picture quality can be easily maintained over time.
The BeoVision 4 includes a dedicated center loudspeaker known as the BeoLab 10, where it will rely on the patented Bang & Olufsen Acoustic Lens Technology, that is capable of dispersing sound at a 180-degree angle throughout the whole area for an unmatched sound experience. BeoLab 10 will spread the sound equally and horizontally from the center channel, where this will enable viewers to receive all the nuances from the film dialogue, never mind where they are seated in the room.
Because all All Bang & Olufsen TVs are programmable, the person (normally an engineer) who will install and program the BeoVision 4 for you will ask what other products you have and integrate these gadgets into the remote control. The six-figure installation fee will give your this personalized service and more, including reconfiguring the remote if you have installed other gadgets.
