Beovision 9000 replaced Beovision 6002 and again was again fitted in a beautifully crafted wooden veneered cabinet offered in a choice of either rosewood or teak. A sliding tambour door gave access to the TV itself which turned off the set when slid closed.
Providing remote control through its infra-red Video Terminal, a good 14 watts monophonic sound was produced by its log-line loudspeaker system. Teletext was available as an optional extra. Likewise an A/V interface whereby external connections to the set could be made. An on-screen channel indicator showed the viewer which station was being watched.
Specifications were as those for the Beovision 8800, the only difference between the two models was the luxurious cabinet itself. A Beocord 8800V video recorder could be used with the set together with a Loop Amplifier for the hard of hearing.
Beovision 9000 was replaced by the equally beautifully-looking Beovision 9002.
