Blue with envy
Tuesday, 7th August, 2012Mercedes-Benz has recently introduced their all-new ML 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY.
Looking virtually identical to the standard model, the crossover ML features a turbocharged 4.7-litre V8 engine which develops 408 PS (300 kW / 402 hp) and 600 Nm of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h. In terms of efficiency, owners can expect to average 11.0 - 11.5 L/100km with CO2 emissions of 258 - 269 g/km.
As of the new model year, the cockpit TFT display between the two instrument dials boasts an almost photo-realistic image; in keeping with the COMAND screen it adopts the modernised display concept of a silver-grey colour scheme. With the Internet-capable COMAND Online infotainment system on board, the delivery package additionally features the Mercedes-Benz automatic emergency call system which, in the event of a serious crash, the system automatically notifies emergency services and transmits detailed information about the exact location of the vehicle’s GPS coordinates.

Mercedes-Benz optionally offers the M-Class with a sound system by Bang & Olufsen. The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG high-end surround sound system, with a combined 1.200 watt output and 14 speakers, transforms the vehicle interior into a concert hall with superb acoustics.
The ML 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY will begin arriving in Mercedes-Benz dealerships this autumn with German pricing starting at €63,050 (ex tax).
