Bang & Olufsen and iBAHN - global providers of digital information and entertainment systems for the hospitality & meeting industries - have recently formed a partnership with the intention of combining Bang & Olufsen’s audio visual products with iBAHN’s digital entertainment and broadband services for the hospitality market. Initial clients for the match up will be the 45 Park Lane Hotel five-star hotel in London, UK.
iBAHN’s iMEDIA - its innovative IP-based information and entertainment platform for hotels - has been fully tested with Bang & Olufsen’s product solutions, in order to ensure full compatibility with digital services including integration with Bang & Olufsen’s two main remote controls, the Beo4 and Beo6. This means iBAHN will be one of the selected hotel system providers being able to deliver services directly through existing Bang & Olufsen remote controls. As an additional feature, the remotes may be fully customised to fit in with the digital set-up in any hotel room, providing intuitive ease of use for hotel guests.
The collaboration is part of a wider pattern of luxury brands extending from selling to consumers to selling to major organisations with the hospitality industry at the head of it; major designers like Georgio Armani have collaborated with hotels for a number of years.
